Black-legged Kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla)
The colony of Black-legged Kittiwakes (Rissa tridactyla) present on Lunga island, near Staffa island, was an amazing sight during my trip to Scotland. On the picture above you can see a juvenile. The most striking difference with the adults is their bill being black instead of yellow.
We started to see them from the boat, nesting on the cliffs. There were probably more than a hundred of them.
