The picture above shows a male Eurasian Blackbird (Turdus merula) photographed from my bedroom window. One of the most regular visitors of our garden, and also one of my favorites. We are really pleased to see Eurasian Blackbirds everyday at home. The male is easily recognizable thanks to his black plumage and yellow bill. His song is incredibly beautiful and melodious. The female, as well as the juvenile, have a dark brown plumage. Eurasian Blackbirds are omnivorous. They eat worms, insects, fruits and berries, including our redcurrants!

Love Nature.
