The Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) is quite a secretive bird. Extremely agile in flight, this raptor is able to pursue its prey for an hour!

One of the criteria to distinguish it from the Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) is that the Northern Goshawk has a shorter tail. It is also a bigger raptor. For more information about the Northern Goshawk in Switzerland, visit this page.
